During my commute to work, sometimes the Bart makes special announcements that everyone should hear such as delays or other problems with service. For those of us who listen to ipods, there is not enough warning to pause the track or take off the headphones before the announcement is over. Even though it probably isn't feasable, I would really love it if the announcer could pause ipods with a signal of some sort before the announcement was made (similar to an airplane while watching their movies or listening to their music)

At least they could have some sort of attention light that would flash for a few seconds before making an announcement. They could have several in each car, perhaps in every row of seats. You should notify them of your concern; I'm sure they would appreciate the feedback.
